Day 7
2 PM: Dead silence
3 PM: Silence. One dog barks half-heartedly.
4 PM: A distant rumble of coffee cups...
5 PM: The shuffling sounds of errands; doors opening/closing, the recycle bins being filled, laundry being flapped straight before putting on the line. A kid singing.
6 PM: Cars, cars, cars. Beep beep, lo siento, what’s up Javier, hey you, see you later.
7 PM: Church bells on and off for one hour. A trombone in the middle distance.
8 PM: An enthusiastic 4 piece brass band outside window.
9 PM: Fireworks! Legit fireworks.
10 PM: Time for dinner!
You have now experienced a Spanish afternoon from siesta onwards as I have dutifully recorded it. 2 PM - 10 PM, Saturday, September 28, 2019, Estella, Navarre, Spain.
Did not make this up. :-)
